CJ Flash A Dj’s Dj
With a knowledge of music that would make Wikipedia blush, CJ Flash can best be described as a music nerd. Having witnessed a large portion of Oakland’s music history first hand CJ can keep you enthralled with stories and musical tidbits for hours. To say that CJ’s musical intellect out weighs his DJ prowess would not be a diss, in fact it would be a testament to his love of music. Trust me when I say Chris “CJ Flash” Jourdan can rock the turntables with the best of them.
CJ Flash has been in the DJ game longer than most DJs today have been alive. Over this time CJ, along with his 2 DJ organizations The Original DJ’s and The World Famous Rick & Russ Show, has compiled quite an impressive client list. Google, Yahoo, Apple, The Los Angeles and Berkeley Jazz Festivals, Bill Graham Productions and both the Oakland Raiders and A’s are a few organizations CJ has played for. In 2008 he was the official tour DJ for the Katt Williams “It’s Pimpin’, Pimpin” nationwide tour.
On February 24th 2012 CJ capitalized on the popularity of his company, Music For The People Entertainment. Launching their very own internet radio station broadcasting 24/7. Catering more toward a mature crowd, you will hear tons of classic soul, jazz, funk and r&b. On Fridays from 12-4pm (pst) and Sundays from 2-6pm (pst) you can hear CJ and fellow DJ Russell Gatewood live in the mix on The World Famous Rick and Russ Show. Not only do these brothas drop some serious music, they also bring a whole bunch of laughter and music knowledge. I highly recommend dropping in and giving them a listen, you wont be disappointed. Not just satisfied with being a DJ, CJ has also produced music. Writing for The Timex Social Club (Rumors), and producing for Raw Fusion (who later joined Digital Underground) were a few of his early projects. His many years of experience and knowledge of music make it easy to see why CJ is considered a DJ’s DJ. No matter what type of crowd you put CJ in front he will perform like only CJ can.
